Garcinia is a capsule preparation prepared using standardised extract of Garcinia cambogia. In ayurveda it is known as vrikshamla which pacifies vata and kapha dosha. It has three tastes i.e. sour, pungent and astringent which supports protein metabolism and enhances agni in the mamsa dhatu. These three tastes assist in clearing the clogged arteries, veins, microchannel and does sroto shodhan. It forms ama free bodily tissues and assists in giving proper nourishment to the body. It hinders the work of citrate lyase due to its active ingredients i.e hydrocytic acid.
