What is VITA E PLUS?

Vita E Plus is a nutritional supplement. It contains Omega 3 fatty acid and Vitamin E acetate. It is used primarily to generate energy and stamina in the body and make it stronger especially in case of chronic diseases where the body tends to get bogged down. Vitamin E is present in a manmade form (DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate) which is the most active among all tocopherols. Furthermore, Vita E Plus contains DHA and EPA essential fatty acids obtained from deodorized fish oil.

Fish oil supplements are made from fish that have a high-fat content naturally. While fish oil is used to treat a variety of ailments, it has been shown to reduce excessive triglycerides. Triglyceride levels that are too high can increase the risk of developing heart disease. Eicosapentaenoic acid, or EPA, and docosahexaenoic acid, or DHA, are two significant omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil. You have ever had a thrombosis
You are due to have or have had surgery recently
You have had a trauma recently
You have a kidney problem
You have diabetes which is not controlled
You have/have had problems with your liver. Your doctor will monitor any effects Vitamin E Plus may have on your liver with blood tests

If you need medical treatment of surgery whilst taking Vita E Plus , remember to tell the doctor or dentist treating you that you are taking this product.

Other medicines and Vita E Plus

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any medicines, including oral contraceptives, anticoagulants and any medicines obtained without a prescription. Your dosage may need to be adjusted.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this product. The effects of high doses of Vitamin E during pregnancy and breastfeeding are not known. Consequently, Vitamin E Plus is not recommended during pregnancy and breast-feeding.

Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interactions: Omega 3 Fatty Acid + Vitamin E Acetate may interact with blood-thinners and anticoagulants (warfarin, apixaban, alteplase, coumadin), immunosuppressant (cyclosporine), monoclonal antibody (selumetinib), vitamin (niacin) and chemotherapy agent (fluorouracil, vincristine, vinblastin).
Drug-Food Interactions: Omega 3 Fatty Acid + Vitamin E Acetate should be used with caution in case of intolerance to peanut and soy.
Drug-Disease Interactions: Omega 3 Fatty Acid + Vitamin E Acetate should be used with caution in patients with hypersensitivity, uncontrolled diabetes, liver disease, kidney disease, any disease-causing chronic diarrhoea, bleeding disorders, osteoporosis, prostate cancer, head or neck cancer and stroke.

How to take Vita E Plus?

Always take Vita E Plus exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Dosage

1 capsule daily (unless otherwise advised by your doctor or pharmacist).
Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage.
Swallow it as a whole with water; do not crush, break or chew it.
Free from alcohol, artificial colors and gluten
The dosage is meant to match the highest international standards and recommendations. Therefore, the recommended daily intake indicated may not be exceeded.
Dietary supplements should not replace a varied diet. A healthy lifestyle and a varied balanced diet is important for maintaining good health.

If you take more Vita E Plus then what you should do.

If you may have taken more Vita E Plus than you should, talk to your doctor or pharmacist immediately. If you take an excessive amount of this product, there’s a risk of a vitamin E overdose, although it’s unlikely to cause any serious harm. Some symptoms of overdose are abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhoea, headache, tiredness, blurred vision, internal bleeding due to reduced blood coagulation. If you experience one of these symptoms after taking too much Vita E Plus , talk to your doctor immediately or go to the nearest hospital.

If you forget to take Vita E Plus

If you miss a dose of Vita E Plus , take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Possible Side Effects

In some cases, Omega 3 Fatty Acid + Vitamin E Acetate may cause certain common side effects such as nausea, unpleasant taste, bad breath, burping and stomach ache. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if these side effects persist.

Inform the doctor if you are allergic to any of the components of Omega 3 Fatty Acid + Vitamin E Acetate. Keep your doctor informed if you suffer from hypersensitivity, uncontrolled diabetes, liver disease, kidney disease or any disease-causing chronic diarrhoea. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor before taking alcohol with Omega 3 Fatty Acid + Vitamin E Acetate as there may be an interaction.

How to store Vita E Plus capsules

Keep Vita E Plus capsules out of the reach of children.
Do not use Vita E Plus capsules after the expiry date which is printed on the carton and the foil. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Do not store Vita E Plus capsules above 25°C. Do not freeze.
Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose off expired medicines you no longer use.
