Description Of Ingredients
1. Bhumi Amla
Bhumi Amla (Phyllanthus niruri) is a tropical plant which grows at a height of 50-70 cm and is classically mentioned in managing yakrit roga because it is rochaka (Appetizing), Pittashamak (Pitta pacifier) and Kapaha balancer.
2. Bhringraj
Bhringraj (Eclipta alba) is a creeping herb which is 3 metres in height, it has white colour flowers with a long stalk. This herb is very useful in managing Liver disorders as it is Pandunut (Useful in Anemia), Amahar (Alleviates toxins from body) and Yakrituttejaka (Liver stimulant).
3. Kalmegh
Kalmegh (Andrographis paniculata) is a shrub which is found throughout India, commonly known as "Green Chireta". Kalmegh is known as the "King of bitters" because it has Bitter taste. Kalmegh possesses Yakrituttejan (Liver stimulant), Pittasarak (Expels out excessive pitta), Rechna (Purgative) and Krimighana (wormicidal) properties thus useful in managing Liver conditions.
4. Sharpunkha
Sharpunkha (Tephrosia purpurea) is a perennial erect herb which is classically known as "Pleehakshtriye" (Enemy of Spleen) because it is useful in managing Spleen disorders. Along with this Kalmegh also possesses yakrituttejan (Liver stimulant) property and sustains in maintaining Good liver health and alleviates all kinds of Liver and spleen disorders.
5. Kaasni
Kaasni (Cichorium intybus) is also known as Chicory or belongs to the Asteraceae family. It has a bitter, pungent taste and cold potency. This herb is an amazing yakrituttejaka (Liver stimulant) and diuretic in nature. Kaasni assists in balancing pitta and kapha dosha.

7. The other name of kutki (Picrorhiza kurroa) is Hellebore or bhedani (due to its piercing nature). This perennial herb attains a maximum height of 25-30cm and it mainly pacifies kapha and pitta dosha. It has a bitter taste, dry and light properties and a pungent effect after digestion. This herb is hepatoprotective and helps in managing numerous liver diseases.
7. Makoy
Also known as Kakmachi (Solanum nigrum) a short-lived shrub, found in many woody areas having ovate or heart shaped leaves. It has a bitter taste, Light and smooth physical properties and neither hot nor cold potency. Makoy possesses Yakrituttejan (Liver stimulant) property and assists in managing good liver health.
8. Punarnava
Punarnava (Boerhavia diffusa) is also known as Reg hogweed. It's a perennial herb with a diffuse horizontal purple stem. Punarnava is an amazing shothahar (Useful in alleviating edema).
